Location & Description: Larsens Tented Camp is located 320 kilometers north of Nairobi on the border of the old northern Frontier Province. Larsens is a small, luxury tented camp set in lush lawns on the banks of Uaso Nyiro, a river in Samburu National Reserve.
Rooms: The 17 tents, each shaded by palm trees and named for a bird, have ensuite bathrooms and all face the river
Facilities: An animal viewing platform in a tree that lets you scan the vast Samburu plain. 1 Swimming pool, bar and restaurantClimate: The climate is equatorial desert type. The weather is hot all year round with day time temperatures up to 33 degrees Centigrade. The nights are cool.
Dress Code: Lightweight cotton clothing is recommended for daytime wear as are safari boots, flat shoes or sandals and a swimsuit. For evenings, a jacket or light sweater
is needed to ward off the chill.
