Arrive Kanombe Airport, Kigali, where you will be met by a representative of Kivulini Tours and transferred 15kms to the Serena Hotel. Day at leisure with an opportunity to take optional excursions

Day 02
After an early breakfast, drive south 136Km with a stop at the traditional seat of the monarchy. Visit Royal Palace in Nyanza restored entirely of traditional materials to its 19th century state. Continue to the university town of Butare where you will visit the National Museum which houses perhaps the best ethnographic collection in East and Central Africa.Lunch in Butare and then proceed a 130km drive to Nyungwe Forest.
Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House - B,L,D
Day 03
This morning track deep into Nyungwe forest for the Colobus monkeys after which you return to Gisakura Guest House for lunch.This afternoon you will take a tour of the tea plantation.Dinner and overnight at Gisakura Guest House - B,L,D
Day 04
This morning your drive will take you to Kibuye long the shores of Lake Kivu. Arrive in time for lunch at Moriah Lake Resort while enjoying the beautiful scenery. After lunch you will commence your scenic boat ride to the lake shore town of Gisenyi.Dinner and overnight Lake Kivu Serena Hotel - B,L,D
Day 05
A very early start (0500am) with picnic breakfast for your drive to Volcanoes National Park. 0700hrs at the park offices you will be briefed by your trackers - guides for your track for the Golden Monkeys. Your driver will then take you to the starting point of the track and wait for your return. After lunch take a scenic drive to view the twin lakes, Ruhondo and Burera.Dinner and overnight Sabyinyo Silverback Lodge - B,L,D
Day 06
After an early breakfast you will head to the park offices. 0700hrs you will be allocated a gorilla group followed by a briefing by tracking guide. After your briefing your driver will drive you to the starting point of your track where he will wait for your return. After a magical hour with the gorillas you will return to the base where your driver will be waiting for you. The venue for lunch will depend on the length of your track. Drive back to Kigali.Dinner and overnight Kigali Serena Hotel - B,L,D
Day 07
After breakfast take a city tour of Kigali which includes a visit to the Genocide Memorial, and Craft Centres, among other attractions.Transfer to Kigali airport for your departure flight
